Chapel of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Fgura, Malta

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: At the crossroads in the middle of the 1950s there used to stand a small chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, built in 1790. It had a figure (niche) from which the name FGURA is derived. This chapel was completely demolished to give way fir the widening of the main road. Much later in the 1990s four columns surmounted by a cross were erected in the roundabout at the same crossroads, as a monument to commemorate the chapel and the locality.
