Chapeau melon bas en feutre marron foncé ; calotte basse, ronde et bombée, garnie d'un ruban de gros-grain marron plus clair, noué sur le côté gauche ; petite passe bordée d'un biais du même gros-grain, légèrement relevée sur les côtés.

Marques, inscriptions, poinçons: Griffe - Griffe imprimée en lettres dorées sur fond rouge : "Besson Frères/ BORDEAUX".
