Description
English: Opening ceremony of the FAI International Touring Aircraft Contest en:Challenge 1934 in Warsaw. On the left: Polish team (high-wing RWD-9 and low-wing PZL.26 aircraft), in the middle: Chechoslovak team (one RWD-9 and two low-wing Aero A.200), on the right - German team (Bf 108, Klemm Kl 36, Fieseler Fi 97). The Italian time had not arrived yet.
Polski: Ceremonia otwarcia Międzynarodowych Zawodów Samolotów Turystycznych Challenge 1934.

Po lewej: zespół polski (samoloty RWD-9 i PZL.26), po środku: zespół czechosłowacki (samolot RWD-9 oraz dwa Aero A.200), po prawej: zespół niemiecki (Bf 108, Klemm Kl 36, Fieseler Fi 97). Zespół włoski jeszcze nie dotarł.

Ulica widoczna na zdjęciu wybudowana została według projektu Antoniego Jawornickiego jako droga szybkiego ruchu łącząca Port Lotniczy Warszawa I z dawnym Lotniskiem Mokotowskim na Polu Mokotowskim. Jej budowa związana była z zawodami lotniczymi Challenge 1934, ostatecznie wygranymi przez Polaków – Jerzego Bajana i Gustawa Pokrzywkę.
