| Description |
English: Chalcraft's Barn, Vale of Belvoir. This derelict brick barn is the only building in this square. The roof is tiled in what are locally known as"blue" glazed pantiles, which are actually black! These are traditional in this area and were made in Bottesford with a secret glaze recipie. Not produced for many years it is rumoured that the secret has been discovered and they will be made again. At a price I expect! |
