Summary
[edit]DescriptionChalamain Gap - geograph.org.uk - 185661.jpg |
English: Chalamain Gap. The Chalamain Gap is a deep, rocky cleft in the Cairngorms, on the classic walkers' route from the Cairngorm ski road (Sugarbowl car park) to the Lairig Ghru and Braeriach. The boulders are substantial in size - many as big as a person - and they form a formidable obstacle in icy or snowy conditions. On this day they were dry and were easily traversed. This picture is looking approximately north-eastwards towards Glen More and the Braes of Abernethy. |
