Description
English: Retired Navy Admiral Harold W. Gehman Jr., Chairman of the Columbia Accident Investigation Board, addresses the press at the Shuttle Landing Facility before departing Kennedy Space Center. Gehman and the other members of the Board visited sites at KSC to become familiar with Shuttle processing procedures. The independent board is charged with determining what caused the destruction of the Space Shuttle Columbia and the loss of its seven-member crew on February 1, 2003 during reentry.
