Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Chain Bridge, crossing the C&O Canal. Note that this part of the canal was George Washington's Patowmack Canal (Little Falls Skirting Canal) repurposed for the C&O. Note the pair of mallard ducks guarding their egg which the female unfortunately laid on the towpath (and it is raining in this photograph).
