English: Stained glass window in the south chancel of Chaddesley Corbett Parish Church. The scenes here depict the birth of Christ (left panel) (Matthew 2:1-11); the empty tomb after the resurrection of Christ (centre panel) (Mark 16:6); and the resurrection appearance of Christ to Mary in the garden of the tomb (right panel) (John 20:16). The window is dedicated to the memory of Emily Dudley Perrin, wife of Rev. Willian Wykes-Finch who was a Worcestershire J.P. In 1895 the whole of the manor North Wyke, Devon, was bought by Rev. William Wykes-Finch for £4000. The farms were still rented. Rev. Wykes-Finch was a direct descendent of the "Wykes". He completely renovated the house and built the two rooms connecting the East wing and Chapel. Unfortunately after his death in 1920 his son only lived for another two years and the property passed to a cousin. Arms: Finch quartering Wyck (Arms of Wykes of North Wyke in the parish of South Tawton, Devon and of Weekes of Honeychurch, Devon: Ermine, three battle-axes sable (Vivian, Lt.Col. J.L., (Ed.) The Visitations of the County of Devon: Comprising the Heralds' Visitations of 1531, 1564 & 1620, Exeter, 1895, pp.776,825)), with inescutcheon of Perrin: Argent, on a chevron sable three .... between three pears/leaves/fronds(?) vert. Rev. William Wykes-Finch (1920) & his wife Emily Dudley Perrin (1832-1912) Both buried at Davenham, Cheshire. Mural monument with same arms as in this window in St Andrew's Church, South Tawton, Devon[1]. Married, in 1862, Emily Dudley Perrin, a daughter and co-heir of Josiah Perrin, of Davenham, Cheshire, cousin of Sir John Perring, of Membland, Co. Devon.[2]
