Description
English: A lead alloy musket ball. The shot is Spherical .it has a diameter of 18mm.the ball has a rough surface .the colour of the ball is grey .dusty.the ball has a flat spot .small area 4mm.It is post medieval and probably dates from 1644. Musket balls are discussed in Courtney’s “Small Arms Accessories of the Mid-Seventeenth Century” (1988) and on page 202 of “Material Culture in London in an Age of Transition” by Geoff Egan (2005).
