L'Asnée est un ancien lieu-dit, mentionné pour la première fois en 1491 et à un ruisseau, qui se jetait dans le ruisseau de Saurupt, puis de Laxou, qui fournissait de l'eau à l'étang Saint-Jean. Au XVIe siècle, on y trouve un pâquis, un moulin, une tuilerie, et un clos où les pestiférés nancéiens sont isolés jusqu'à leur mort, laquelle est autant due à la faim qu'à la maladie. Trois siècles plus tard, les propriétaires des presbytères de Saint-Fiacre et de la Tour Greff, les Lefebvre de Montjoye, vendent ces deux propriétés et acquièrent le domaine de l'Asnée où ils édifient le château. Ce château, de type gothique avec quelques touches de style Louis III est construit par Prosper Morey au milieu du parc. En 1933, la propriété est vendue au diocèse, qui y implante le séminaire, de style moderne art déco, entre 1934 et 1936. |
