Ceyhan Atatürk monument

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Maybe someone thought green was the closest one could get to a fine bronze colour. The quote below the statue is from a text that read further (in a translation I found on the web) "When I first joined the army, I reached the consciousness of Turkishness in the two drops of tears of an Anatolian child slapped by an Arab major, saying 'How would you mistreat his tribe of Necip'. I saw it and heard it strongly. After that, Turkishness became my deep source, my deepest source of pride. My only honorary honor in life, my wealth is nothing but Turkishness." The text is the last sentence.
