Description
English: Capt. Dave Truitt (center), founding chairman of the Chicago Christmas Ship Committee, and Mike Strain, president of Shipmasters Lodge No. 3, present a wreath for blessing before placing it at the foot of the Captain of the Helm statue at Navy Pier in Chicago Dec. 7, 2013. The ceremony preceded the offload of more than 1,200 Christmas trees from the Coast Guard Cutter Mackinaw and commemorated the original Christmas Ship Rouse Simmons and other vessels lost at sea.
