English: Ceremonial-Tulwar
Deutsch: Zeremonien-Tulwar. Der Talwar hat eine gebogene, breite und schwere Klinge. Die Klinge ist zweischneidig. Sie hat eine etwa 23 cm lange Rückenschneide, die vom Ort zum Heft läuft. Die Klinge ist für einen Talwar überdurchschnittlich breit und fast auf der ganzen Länge mit Blumen- und Schriftornamenten verziert. Das Heft ist typisch nach Talwarart gestaltet und mit einem Handschutzbügel ausgestattet. Diese Art des Talwars wurde oft für westliche Sammler gearbeitet, die Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts indische Waffen suchten. Dennoch ist diese Säbelart meist keine "Touristenware", sondern aus qualitativ hochwertigem Stahl und mit großer, handwerklicher Geschicklichkeit gefertigt. |
