Omini : la biologie médicale réinventée Omini rend la biologie médicale 100x plus rapide, 100x plus simple. 70% des décisions médicales nécessitent un acte de biologie médicale, comme les tests sanguins. Ils sont indispensables mais on attend plusieurs heures ou jours avant d’avoir le résultat. C’est un temps dont les médecins ne disposent pas car ils doivent prendre des décisions rapidement. Il faut trouver un compromis entre vitesse de décision médicale et précision de la décision en absence de résultat ou s’il existe un délai d’attente. L’objectif d’Omini est de créer des dispositifs portables pour détecter les biomarqueurs* (caractéristiques biologiques mesurables). Nous faisons cela grâce à une technologie de capteurs sur lesquels Anna a travaillé. C’est une technologie à fort potentiel mais qui était restée confinée au milieu académique. Par son travail, Anna a rendu possible d’industrialiser cette technologie, qui a l’avantage d’être portable, précise, rapide et à un coût abordable. Notre vision est de devenir leader dans le secteur du « point of care » *, car la demande augmente auprès des médecins, il y a un réel besoin.
