| Description |
English: Built in 1979, this Modern skyscraper was designed by KPF and Johnson/Romanowitz, and was originally known as Kincaid Towers, the headquarters of the Kentucky Central Life Insurance Company. The 22-story 333 foot (101 meter) tall building was the tallest in Lexington until the Lexington Financial Center was completed in 1987. The building features a concrete panel-clad exterior, ribbon windows, a tall penthouse, and a podium with a glass roof wrapping around a plaza on the north side of the building. The building today is home to the Central Bank and Trust Company, and has been renamed for the company. |
