Description

Fossils from a roadcut in central Tennessee. According to the "Geology of Eastern North America" Peterson Field Guide, they were deposited either during the Ordovician Period or the Mississippian Epoch of the Carboniferous Period.

The fossils shown make up entire rock layers and are probably those of ancient Brachiopods.
