Español: Figura 1. Morfología de las ipRGC M1 y M2 en la retina de Arvicanthis.

Montajes completos de la retina de un adulto (9 meses de edad) Arvicanthis, inmunoteñido para melanopsina (verde en B) y ChAT colinaAcetilTransferasa (magenta en C), un marcador colinérgico de células amacrinas.
Las fotografías se tomaron desde planos focales en el borde GCL (Ganglionic cells layer) (A – C).
Las células M1 muestran una intensa tinción con melanopsina (flecha en A y C).
Las células M2 muestran una tinción de melanopsina menos intensa (punta de flecha en A y C).
Las dendritas M2 débilmente positivas para melanopsina.

Barra de escala: 50 µm.
