Summary
[edit]DescriptionCaygill Scar - geograph.org.uk - 1802293.jpg |
English: Caygill Scar An impressive limestone ravine below West Scrafton. When dry it can be approached by scrambling down the stream bed to this point where there is about a 10m drop-off (care!). just below here is a cave known as Tom Hunter's Parlour. The gorge walls have been climbed on http://www.climbonline.co.uk/caygill_scar,_coverdale.htm but the routes have never become popular due to the enclosed and mossy nature of the place. |
