English: The monument aux morts at Cayeux-sur-Mer in the Somme region of France. Monument dates from 1921 and features work by the sculptor Albert Roze. Two figures stand at each end of a wall bearing the names of those commemorated. One is an infantryman and the other a marine, the representation of two arms of the army reflecting the fact that Cayeux is a coastal town. The monument stands at the entrance to the Cayeux cemetery. |
