Description

Volcán de 5790 metros, la cumbre más alta de los Andes al norte de la línea ecuatorial, aunque apenas está a 3 kilómetros de esta. Su pico es el punto de la superficie terrestre más lejano al eje, y por lo tanto gira más rápido con la rotación de la Tierra. ·

15,387 ft high volcano, highest peak in the Andes north of the Equator. Cayambe's peak is the point of Earth's surface farthest from its axis; thus it rotates the fastest as Earth spins.
