Fig. 1. Anophthalmus telllcampfii Erichs. (Emerton del.) — "The figure is a poor one ; the antennae, head, and thorax, and on the elytra the characteristic pair of sensitive hairs is entirely omitted ; all other species have three sensitive hairs on each elytrum " (E. A. Schwarz in letter).
