English: A boy looks through the site of an M240 machine gun during 1st Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment’s Kids’ Day, July 31. An annual squadron event, Kids’ Day allows paratroopers assigned to 1-73rd Cav. Regt., 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, to show their children and spouses what it’s like to be a cavalry trooper, and have fun at the same time. Family members were able to see multiple weapons systems, ride in military vehicles, don T-11 parachutes, learn actions in the aircraft and “jump” from a mock aircraft. Of approximately 500 troopers in the unit, more than 130 families attended the event.
