English: Cattle Market, Newton Abbot. A livestock market in Newton Abbot can be traced back to the early C13, but the present buildings (beyond the parked cars, with the twin turrets) are C20. The photo links the terrace on the left, seen in 562401, with 562482, on the right.
Beyond the modern Broadlands estate in the background are the woods of the Lemon valley. |
