Description
Italiano: DUOMO DI ANCONA.

Dedicato a san Ciriaco, è la cattedrale metropolitana dell'arcidiocesi di Ancona-Osimo. È una chiesa medioevale in cui lo stile romanico si fonde con quello bizantino, evidente nella pianta e in molte decorazioni. Sorge in scenografica posizione alla sommità del colle Guasco, già occupata dall'Acropoli della città greco-dorica, da dove domina tutta la città di Ancona e il suo golfo.

Nel maggio del 1926 papa Pio XI l'ha elevata alla dignità di basilica minore.
