Description Catherine Noele Worlee (1762-1835) was born in Tranquebar. She married George Francis Grand in 1778 and separated following a scandal. She then moved to Paris as a mistress of a wealthy banker. Later lived Charles Maurice Talleyrand-Perigord and came to be called a princess. In 1802 Napoleon Bonaparte to marry and a legal divorce from George Grand was obtained and she was married on 9 September 1802. This painting was made by Elizabeth Vigee Le Brun (1783) Metropolitan Museum.
