Work Department will be expected to providethemselves with plain, easy-fitting wash dresses andaprons, and will be expected to wear Warner waistsinstead of corsets. All the girls take gymnastics un-less excused by the resident physician. Gymnasticsuits are made at the school and cost two dollars anda half. In order that all suits may be alike girls arerequested not to provide them before coming. Gym-nastic shoes are required and can be bought at theschool for sixty-five cents. Boys—The school uniform is navy blue and con-sists of a plain sack coat, trousers, and military cap.Boys must wear this uniform always, except when atwork. Every young man is required to provide him-self with a school cap immediately upon his arrival. Lower cost working suits, uniform in style, areprovided, and students are expected to wear these orthe regular school uniform while connected with theschool. The young men are under military discipline.They are all members of the school battalion and arerequired to drill without arms, to perform guard duty,and to police the grounds. Low or profane language or other serious misde-meanor will subject students to severe discipline—tofine, reprimand, confinement, or other necessary pun-ishment. Card playing and the use of ardent spiritsand tobacco, either on or off the grounds, are prohib-ited to students connected with the school.
