Evening instruction, similar to the day, on the samemachinery and by the heads of the day departments as-sisted by practical skilled men from the mills, is given forthe benefit of workers in local mills and machine shops.The instruction in the evening classes is divided intosections so as to give the greatest possible facilities to thestudents in these classes. Certificates are granted to all students in the eveningclasses who have successfully completed the equivalent totwo years work, two evenings a week. The certificatestates the subjects that the student has passed in and thelength of time he has devoted to the work. Evening students are enrolled at the commencementof both the fall and spring terms, the work being so ar-ranged that a student enrolling at the opening of thespring term for a one-year course will complete his workat the end of the following fall term.
