LOUISVILLE, KY. 47 INVINCIBLE. A mammoth, extra large, white variety, of most robus?t habit and medium height. Petals broad, firm and cupping to the center which is full and solid. Blooms often measure ten to twelve inches in diameter by seven Inches deep. Magnificent heavy foliage, close up to the flower, carried erect on stout stems. INDEPENDENCE. By keeping up a succession of cuttings it may be flowered every month of the year. A double flower, 4 inches in diameter, style of Bergman; opens creamy, changing to pure white, good stem and foliage; 2 feet; either bud. Perfectly hardy, flowering in July and August in the open ground. LADY FITZWYGRAM. Indispensable to the grower •< cut flowers, as it is the earliest of all the whites, asA the prettiest of all earliest. Ready to cut September 23; use first bud, and start in March; blooms, 5 inches im diameter; pure white, incurving and feathery; easy t« grow. Each, 15 cents. KENTUCKY. Extra large graceful flower of globular shape. Color a pure even shrimp pink. Petals long, narrow, standing out straight much like the old favorite, Lillian B. Bird. Stem stoat and foliage heavy and nearly up to flower. Healthy, easy grower. Fine for exhibition.. Mldseason. LATEST FAD. A wonderful curiosity and peculiar freak of nature. A mammoth bloom with ribbon or cord-like pet- als gracefully falling around the stem. Color rich yellow, sometimes mottled and strip- ed and slashed with bronze and crimson; fine exhibition bloom. FOR. ONE WHO GROWS IVORY. An old variety which has kept its place up to the present dav, a splendid white of great substance and dura- bility. Extra dwarf in habit, unsurpassed as a specimen pot plant. lORA. Large, high-built of beautiful pink color, long, tubular petals, irregularly Incurving, giving it a very artistic appearance, very much admired wherever shown. INTER OCEAN. One of the past few years, an extra large, reflexing bloom of light pink color, changing to pearly white, type of Vivian Morel, from which it is a seedling. JESSICA. Old, well-known favorite, flowers flat, large, pure white, straight petals, very free of growth. Good for pots as well as cut flow- ers. MRS. J. M. ATHERTON. By far the best of the Chinese type. The form Is spherical, \shenin perfection almost con- ical, and of the purest snowy white. The foliage Is right up to the flower and very abundant, large and luxuri- ant. It is esneclally adapted for fine specimen plants, as it makes large blooms even on large bush plants. It is ef our own raised novelties ama has received certificate at At- lanta In 1895. MINERVA. One of the very best and brightest clear yellows; a grand incurved variety, of broad, graceful and Incurved petals. Dwarf and vigorous in growth and a gem for ex- hibition blooms of fine shaped specimen plants. Early. MARION HENDERSON. Bright, clear, light yellow, full dou- ble, petals long, narrow and twisted. One of the best early yellows, either for pot or cut blooms. October 15ti> to 20th. Major Bonnefon. MRS. JEROME JONES. Grand stem, the most perfect fo- liage, in which the large, round bloom is set. Color, waxv white. Three feet. Either bud. Late mid-season. COL. APPLETON. (1900.) Probably made the finest record of any novelty offered in 1900. A grand yellow Incurved of enormously size; grand stem and foliage. Midseason. MAJOR BONNEFON. The yellow for all purposes. A bright clear yellow with shadings of largest size, be- ing fully seven inches in diameter and nearly as deep. The plant is of dwarf, sturdy growth. As a specimen pot plant as well as cut bloom It has hardly a rival.
