20 NANZ & NEUNER'S FLORAL ESTABLISHMEN T, MRS. ROBERT GARRETT (Hj-brid Tea). A variety of American origin with extra large, almost entirely double flowers and long beautifully-shaped buds; in color it is a soft rich pink, which illuminates grandly under artificial light, and of exquisite fragrance; it is a remarkably healthy, vigorous grower, throwing up great numbers of strong shoots from the base of the plant; wonderfully free flowering, producing no blind wood, every shoot be- ing crowned with a bud. Good young plants, 20 cents each. SOUVENIR DE PRESIDENT CARNOT is a magnihcent variety. This French belle is so fascinatingly attractive that its future is insured. Nothing we have yet seen will compare with the beauty and perfection of its flow- ers. The flowers are large, perfectly double, exquisitely shaped, with heavy, thick, shell-like petals. The buds are superb—long and pointed like Niphe'tos; indeed, it Is perfection in grace and finish. The fiowers are borne on long, stiff stems, and are produced in remarkable profu- sion; the color is new and exceedingly refined—a del- cate rosy blush, shaded a trifie deeper at the center of flower. The fragrance is the proverbial Hybrid Tea odor, delicious and charming. The plant grows strong and sturdy. It has no weak spot in its constitution. The foliage Is unusually large, heavy and handsome. In every way It is a rose of remarkable merit. The prom- :lnent cut-flower growers are so much impressed with it that they agreed to make it a leading variety because of Its great beauty and strong growl.h. It will spring at once into popularity. Don't fail to get it. Strong three- Inch pot plants, ready to bloom immediately. 15 cents each; larger plants in limited supply, 35 cents each, by ^express.
Text Appearing After Image:
Souvenir de President Carnot. Mrs. Robt. Garrett. WHITE ^rAMAN COCHET. A magnificent, ever-blooming Tea rose. This is a superb variety, and to see it in bloom one is lost to find words to express its wonderful beauty. II is identical with its parent, Maman Gochet (the queen of all pink roses), except in color of flower, which is snow white, sometimes faintlj' tinged with the faintest sug- gestion of pale blush. It has the same freedom of bloom, maguificent form of buds and flowers, which are mar- velously beautiful in its perfection; the flowers are large and very double, with petals gf unusually heavy tex- ture, making it of more than ordinary value in the open croimd. It has the vigor of an oak, with large, heavy fnli.'ige. which is impervious to disease. Hardy with protection. Oii extraordinary merit. 15 cents each. Two- year-old plants, 30 cents each. A.bove 15 cents each, except where noted. Larger plants, 30 cents each, $3 per dozen. ALL ROSES GROWN ON THEIR OWN ROOTS.
