LOUISVILLE, KY, 47 INVINCIBLE. A mammoth, extra large, white variety, of most robust habit and medium height. Petals broad. Arm aud cupping to the center which Is full and solid. Blooms often measure ten to twelve Inches In diameter by seven Inches deep. Magnificent heavy foliage, cloae up to the flower, carried erect on stout stems. INDEPENDENCE. By keeping up a succession of cuttings It may be flowered every month of the year. A double flower, 4 inches In diameter, style of Bergman; opens creamy, changing to pure white, goo<i stem and foliage; 2 feet; either bud. Perfectly hardy, flowering In July and August In the open ground. LENAWEE. An Incurved Japanese of the finest white, re- sembling the yueen, but surpassing that popular variety, being double to the center and of very largest size. Has a good, stout stem and abundant foliage. An excellent variety for cut flowers and specimen plants. Height, 4^4 feet. LADY FITZWYGRAM. Indispensable to the grower *f cut flowers, as It Is the earliest of all the whites, aad the prettiest of all earliest. Ready to cut September 22; use first bud, aiid start In March; blooms, 5 inches Im diameter; pure white. Incurving and feathery; easy t» jrrnw Each, l.T cents. MRS. J. M. ATHERTON. By far the best of the Chlnew type. The form Is spherical, \\henln perfection almost con- ical, and of the purest snowy white. One of the past few years, an extra large. reflexing bloom of light pink color, changing to pearly white, type of Vivian Morel, from which It Is a seedling. JESSICA. Old. well-known favorite, flowers flat, large, pure white, straight petals, very free of growth. Good for'pots as well as cut flow- ers. KENTUCKY. Extra large graceful flower of globular shape. Color a pure even shrimp pink. Petals long, narrow, standing out straight much like the old favoritp, Lillian R. Bird. Stem stout and foliage heavy and nearly up to flower. Healthv. easy grower. Fine for exhibition. Midseason. MAJOR BONNEFON Major Bonnefon . , . — The yellow for all purposes. A bright clear yellow with shadings of largest size, be- ing fully seven Inches in diameter and nearly as deep. The plant Is of dwarf, stnrdv growth. As a specimen pot plant as well as cut bloom It has hardly a rival. LATEST FAD. A wonderful curiosity and peculiar freak of nature. A mammoth bloom with ribbon or cord-like pet- s gracefully falling around the stem. Color rich yellow, sometimes mottled and strip- ed and slashed with bronze and crimson; fine exhibition bloom. LIBERTY. Of beautiful form, eight Inches In diameter, re- flex in its earlier stages. In- curving and of perfect globu- lar shape when fully devel- oped. Color clear, rich deep olden yellow. Habit dwarf »ut robust. Foliage and stem perfect. It stands first among very late yellows as it is at "its best In December. A fine keeper and shipper. MARION HENDERSON. Bright, clear, light yellow, full dou- l)ie. petals long, narrow and twisted. One of the best early yellows, either for pot or cut blooms. October 15th to 20th, MARION CLEVELAND, Im- mense high, round, solid bloom, with broad, massive, cupping petals. Ivory white, shading delicate lemon to center In Philadelphia, Al- most as dwarf as Ivory. Stem stiff and erect with magnificent foliage close up tne flower. The largest early white to date. MINERVA.
