övrigt Castor var stadens största biografen med 600 sittplatser. Lindhberg ritade salongen och den klassicistiska inredningen utfördes av Einar Forseth och John Broberg. Castor var först med ljudfilm.

motiv Tidstypisk 1920-tals nyklassicistisk byggnad av den välkände Södertäljearkitekten Tore E:son Lindhberg, med bevarade detljer som portaler, balkongräcken, tandsnittfris och sexdelade fönster. Byggnaden har ett stort arkitektoniskt och miljöskapande värde. Den är genom sitt centrala läge och biografen välkänd i staden och har därmed ett identitetskapande värde. Utvecklingen från 1920-talets högkonjunktur till det kärvare ekonomiska läget i början av 1930-talet kan avläsas vid en jämförelse mellan de två fastigheterna i kvarteret Castor., vilket ger hela

kvarteret ett samhällshistoriskt värde.
