| Description |
English: Castlefreke Mansion A modern mansion is emerging from the ruins of the former Castlefreke, itself built upon the ruins of Rathbarry Castle, burned down by Jacobean forces in 1690. Castlefreke was a gothic mansion which fell on hard times, falling into disrepair after a major fire in 1910. The building is currently undergoing complete renovation, having been purchased by a private developer. |
