Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The VOC garrison cells were designed by Louis Thibault in 1786 and later subdivided by the British. One can still see inscriptions carved by prisoners on the doors. The cells were last used to detain prisoners from passing ships on their way to the East during the Second World War. http://www.castleofgoodhope.co.za/New_Folder/CASTLEINFOweb.pdf
