Summary

[edit]
Description
English: This image depicts the old castle at Tsemo Hill located above the LEH palace. Built in the traditional Ladakhi way, it was primarily used as a residence and post for guards. The castle is now occupied by two Buddhist Lamas. This picture shows the castle in an overshadowed sky on a windy day at Leh. The flags with Buddhist chants are all ove the rocks on the right showing the unwithered religious aspect of this historic monument. Although less known, the castle is a beautiful and significant remnant of a bygone era.
This is a photo of ASI monument number
