| Description |
English: Castle Street, Omagh This is the top end of the street where it joins Georges Street (to the right of the arch). The location of the archway was part of Campbell's furniture store and the opening was formed to allow construction traffic to access the rear of the site for the erection of the Arts Centre. The building seen through the arch is the College of Further Education which is on Mountjoy Road, across the river Strule. We used to buy all our second-hand furniture for cash at Campbells in the era before the popularity of the credit card. |
