English: Illustration of Castle John circa 1791, Located at Gowly, Lough Scur, constructed circa 1570 by John Reynolds of Clonduff. Gowly used to be an island (see old maps). As of 2017, the ruins are severely deteriorated, inaccessible, and unpreserved
