[edit]DescriptionCastle Hill, Lincoln - Vehicle - geograph.org.uk - 865251.jpg |
English: Castle Hill, Lincoln - Vehicle Austin-Healey Sprite Mark 1, built between 1958 and 1961. Fondly known as a frog-eyed sprite. Body panels for these vehicles were pressed here - https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/862465
The site is now used by Swindon Pressings Ltd., which is owned by BMW. They make body parts for the Mini, which are then sent to the plant in Oxford for assembly. Swindon is unusual in that it has two major car manufacturers, BMW and Honda. |
