Ces: Castillo de Pambre. Construido a finales del siglo XIV por don Gonzalo Ozores de Ulloa, sobre un escarpado peñasco a orillas del río Pambre que ejerce de defensa natural. Durante años fue escenario de las luchas, primero entre Pedro I y Enrique de Trastamara y después entre la nobleza y el arzobispo de Santiago, Don Alonso de Fonseca y Acevedo. Después de pasar por manos de los Ulloa, en 1484, paso a propiedad de los condes de Monterrei. En 1895, el duque de Alba vende la fortaleza con sus bienes y otros edificios a D. José Soto, vecino de Palas de Rei, por 27.000 ptas. Por último, después de pertenecer a la familia Moreiras Blanco desde 1.912, en la actualidad es propiedad de D. Manuel Taboada Fernández, conde de Borraxeiros. |
