Italiano: Il Castello Medioevale di Muro Lucano si erge nella parte alta del paese, dimora gradita da sovrani e baroni .
Esso fu residenza di caccia per i vari sovrani che lo abitarono. Fu sede di eventi storici, anche tragici: qui venne strangolata per ordine di Carlo III di Durazzo la regina Giovanna I d’Angiò. L’edificio, che fu danneggiato dal terremoto del 1694 e rimaneggiato nel XVIII secolo, fu colpito nuovamente dal terremoto del 1980 in Irpinia. Negli anni ’80 e ’90 il castello venne consolidato con il ripristino delle murature, degli ambienti interni, della scuderia e della parte alto medioevale.
