Cison di Valmarino (TV), ITA - Fortificazione che controllava il passo Praderàdego, il percorso della Via Claudia Augusta e la vallata Valmarena. Le sue origini risalgono a tempi imprecisati; fu pos-sesso dei Vescovi di Ceneda tra il 1200 ed il 1300, poi passò ai Carminesi. Divenne proprietà di Venezia nel 1436, che concesse feudo e castello ai capitani di ventura Erasmo da Nami e Brandolino Brandolini. Quest’ultimo ne divenne primo conte riscattandolo dal “Gattamelata”. Fu rimaneggiato nel ‘500 trasformando lo stile originale in rinascimentale veneto ed ampliato successivamente nel ‘700. Nuovi interventi di restauro (1999 - 2001) hanno restituito all’intero complesso lo splendore di un tempo e la creazione del primo importante ed esclusivo polo turistico – culturale e ricreativo sulla via Claudia Augusta. |
