Description
Français : Vue depuis la mer d'Elmina (Ghana) avec le fort construit par les Portugais en 1482.

[Format : 265 x 363 mm]. Gravée sur cuivre et coloriée à la main. Dans un recueil. Reliure veau brun jaspé (17e siècle), dos à 7 nerfs, fer dorés dans les entre nerfs. Plats décorés d'un double filet doré en encadrement et d'un médaillon central doré. Le médaillon, encadré par un simple filet et des fleurons d'angle, présente une sphère armillaire au centre, entourée d'entrelacs.

Estampe publiée entre 1668 et 1676 dans : Naukeurige beschrijvinge der Afrikaensche gewesten van Egypten, Barbaryen, Libyen, Biledulgerid, Negroslant, Guinea, Ethiopiën, Abyssinie ... getrokken uit verscheyde hedendaegse lantbeschrijvers en geschriften van bereisde ondersoekers dier landen. Door Dr. O. Dapper. t'Amsterdam, by Jacob van Meurs.

[Size: 265 x 363 mm]. Engraved on copper and colored by hand. In a collection. Bound in mottled brown calfskin (17th century), spine with 7 bands, gilded iron in the bands. Dishes decorated with a double golden fillet in the frame and a central golden medallion. The medallion, framed by a simple net and corner fleurons, presents an armillary sphere in the center, surrounded by interlacing.
