Cast iron object of probable medieval date.
Description
English: Cast iron object of probable medieval date. It is sub-rectangular in plan, and rectangular in section. It has a tapering tang which would have been inserted into a handle. The tang is broken at the tip. The point of the object has been broken and it shows signs of corrosion. It was possibly used as a chisel or a file however it's function is unclear.
