Description
English: Cast copper alloy rectangular single-looped buckle dating to the Medieval period, (1100-1500). The buckle frame is oval in cross-section. The strap bar is narrowed and recessed. The pin is attached to the wider part of the buckle frame. There is no decoration and it has a light green patina. The buckle can be dated from c.1300-1500. Similar examples can be found on p26 of Whitehead, (2003).
