Title
Cast copper alloy palstave axe dating to the Bronze Age.
Description
English: Cast copper alloy palstave axe dating to the Bronze Age. The axe is mostly complete, but badly damaged and corroded. The stop is damaged but visible on both sides. There are no visible ribs. The blade is mostly complete although most of the cutting edge has broken away. The blade is rounded flat and quite thick. The butt end has broken away and the flanges are small and corroded. The object has a mid-green patina. The object probably dates to the Acton park phase of Bronze Age metalwork.
