Title
Cast copper alloy object of unknown function and unknown date. Possibly the handle from a candlestick drip-tray.
Description
English: Unidentified cast copper alloy object. Length 59mm, width 39mm. Weight 37.84g.

The object is in the form of a stylised fish. It has a gaping mouth and large eyes at the side. At each side of the head, just below each eye is a projection which extends for 11mm in an outwards direction. The body forms a sub-circular loop that has an internal diameter of roughly 17mm and the tail is splayed to create a type of handle. Immediately below the head are the remains of two attachment lugs which are now broken and these breaks appear to be old. The body and the tail have grooves to represent scales.
