Title
cast copper alloy circular brooch frame
Description
English: Post medieval copper alloy circular brooch or buckle frame fragment. Probably from a penannular brooch. It is predominantly semi circular in section. The curved side is plain. The 'flat' side has a central rib with two heart shaped protuberances. These 'hearts' are two out of an original four set at quarters around the original circle. The points of the hearts point inward. The style appears to be Arts & Crafts/Celtic Revival and this would date it to between c1860 and c1910 AD.

Length 51mm, width 5mm, and thickness 5mm.
