Cast copper alloy belt stiffener dating to the Post-Medieval period.
Description
English: Cast copper alloy belt stiffener dating to the Post-Medieval period. It is lozenge shaped in plan and D-shaped in section. Each end of the object is narrowed and has moulded decoration. A raised horizontal line seperates the ends from the centre of the object which expands outwards into an oval shape. Two lugs for attachment protrude from the back of the object which is flat. It has a dark green patina.
