Title
Cast bronze trumpet brooch dating to the Roman period.
Description
English: Cast bronze trumpet brooch dating to the Roman period. It is a typical form of trumpet brooch with the bow arching into the trumpet head.

The leg is triangular in section with a frontal central ridge. Just above the catchplate is a well formed acanthus button. Below and above the button is transverse moulding. There are three transverse ridges on the foot knob.

The loop on the reverse of the head would have contained the spring which along with the pin is missing. There is a small chip out of the top of the catchplate.
