Title
Cast bronze terret dating to the Roman period. It is a simple terret with a plain bar and splayed collared.
Description
English: Cast copper-alloy terret of simple form dating to the Late Iron Age to early Roman period (50 BC - 100 AD). It has a undecorated oval hoop, collars at either end of the bar and a rudimentary tang on the bar. The basal edge is bowed. It has a dark green patina and is in good condition. A similar example is fig 50, MacGregor (1976). Similar examples which can be found on the database are SWYOR-3B8107 NMS-41C378 and LVPL-F94806.
