Cast bronze button dating to the Post-Medieval period, (1500-1700).
Description
English: Cast bronze button dating to the Post-Medieval period, (1500-1700). It is circular in plan with a sub-oval attachment loop on the reverse. The button is decorated with a central pimple and wavy lines which radiate out from the centre. The reverse is flat and has an integral attachment loop. It has a mid brown/green patina. A similar example is fig. 7.8, p23 Bailey, (2004).
